There is also a city bus system called the Guaguas. The busses are not a numerous as they used to be due to shortages of fuel. This may not be the best means of transportation inside the city of Havana.

For traveling outside Havana to other parts of Cuba there is Cuba’s National Bus Service is called Asociaciones de Transportes por Omnibus (Astro) and it runs to all the capitals and into all the outlying towns once or twice a day.
